About the Position<\/p>\n
We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic, and committed Science Teacher with a genuine passion for education and the ability to inspire scientific curiosity and critical thinking in students.<\/p>\n
The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong English language proficiency (native or bilingual level), excellent classroom management skills, and experience in planning and delivering engaging, student-centered lessons.<\/p>\n
Main Responsibilities
\nPlan and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and educational philosophy.
\nDesign and implement meaningful learning experiences and laboratory activities.
\nAssess and monitor students’ academic progress through assignments, projects, tests, and other evaluation strategies.
\nFoster critical thinking, inquiry-based learning, and scientific reasoning.
\nCreate a positive, respectful, and motivating classroom environment.
\nMaintain effective communication with families and the educational community.
\nParticipate actively in school activities, meetings, and professional development opportunities.
\nRequired Qualifications<\/p>\n
\u2714 Native or bilingual English proficiency (oral and written).
\n\u2714 Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related fields. Postgraduate studies or a Master’s degree will be highly valued.
\n\u2714 Minimum of one (1) year of teaching experience at Middle and\/or High School level.
\n\u2714 Experience in educational settings and strong pedagogical skills.
\n\u2714 Residence in Santo Domingo (Distrito Nacional) or nearby areas.<\/p>\n
